Dragnet, the Twilight Zone and Supermanwere the popular drama shows at the time, while the kids loved to watchHowdy Doody and aspired to become members of The Mickey Mouse Club. Whilethe television was seen as being great for entertainment and relaxationpurposes, it was in the 1950s that America would soon discover the truepower of the television through its ability to deliver news.
