Does God only hear us when we pray out loud or does He hear silent prayers also

A Prayer for America: 20 Verses of Hope - Debbie …

An honest examination of the United States in light of Ezekiel 33 (and Dt 28; Is 1-4; Ho 4:1-2; Mal 3-4; Mt 23-25; 2 Tim 3; Jude, Rev 1-3, and others) shows, indisputably, that we are under God's progressive and accelerating corrective judgments. The reasons are obvious: the increase in unrestrained personal and corporate sin (government and other institutions' policies and actions), the proliferation of immorality and violence, the wholesale shedding of innocent blood and the acceptance of homosexual perversion, and idolatry (the worship of money instead of God). America seems to be begging, even daring God to bring on His judgments! God's hand of protection, upon which we have historically relied, is clearly lifting from our midst. It is time for all Christians to pray for America.

A Prayer for America: 20 Verses of Hope ..

Rampant sin and brazen unrepentance is the reason God must judge America -- not the sin and unrepentance of the lost, but . The call to repentance and purity has been God's cry to His people in every generation. God's manifest presence overshadows the Church when it worships Him in the "beauty of holiness," but His glory soon departs from people who practice and approve of fornication. He will use a Church that draws near to Him and seeks to be holy, but He promises to judge fornication in all its forms (1 Cor 5:1-2, 7-11; 6:9-20; Eph 5:3; 1 Th 4:3-8; Jude 6-8)). But the Church has embraced our fornicating culture. Sexual activity among unmarried Christian youth rivals that of their unsaved peers. High profile pulpit sex scandals have made the Church and clergy objects of scorn in many circles (1 Tim 3:2a). The divorce rate among Christians now exceeds that of the general population (Mt 19:4)! While precise figures are not known, it has been estimated that 20% to 50% of Christian men (including pastors and leaders) are involved with online pornography (Mt 5:27-30; 6:22-23). Some denominations now ordain practicing homosexuals into the pastoral ministry (Rom 1:26,27,32). God's power and blessing will only rest upon a repentant and pure Church. Only such a Church will find credibility among unbelievers and be able to turn America back to God.

I have been up all night praying and agonizing over the condition of America

If there is any hope for America, it will be because God's people have wholeheartedly humbled themselves, sought God's face, turned from their wicked ways, dedicated themselves, and embarked upon the call to being, again, the Salt and Light of America.

Awake Us Now Praying for Revival in America

“It is pathetically beautiful to watch this humble man of God in the secret place and hear him pouring out his soul in these argumentative pleadings as though he would so order his course before God as to convince him that he must interpose to save his own name and word from dishonor. … if this was God’s work was not he bound to care for his own work and was not all this deliberately planned and carried on for his own glory and would he suffer his own glory to be dimmed, had not his own word be given by his oath and could God allow his promise thus sworn to be dishonored even in this least particular, were not the half believing church and the unbelieving world looking on to see how the living God would stand by his own unchanging assurance and would he supply an argument for the skeptic and the scoffer would he not, must he not rather put new proofs of his faithfulness in the mouth of his saints and furnish increasing arguments where with to silence the tongue and put to shame the hesitating disciple.”

The last convention he attended was in 1910, for his health was failing. Pleading with God for the conversion of four souls each day, divine assurance was given him that such would be the case. Often more than that number would be given in answer to his prayers, and this lifted Hyde's heart to God in songs of praise and thanksgiving “There was nothing superficial about the life of those converts. They all nearly became active Christians,” was the comment of one who was on the field and thus able to appraise the results.
